Laura Scheller is the Founder and President of Solmonte Hospitality, Inc. Laura has over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. She is a strong advocate of the industry and was the 2010-2011 president of the Arizona Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. Laura received her certified meeting planner certification (CMP) in 2006 and has experience planning corporate and association meetings, incentive programs, special and philanthropic events. She also received her Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) in 2016. Laura is a frequent speaker on site selection and contract negotiation.
Graduating magna cum laude from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Laura is also the recipient of the NAU Centennial Year of Education Distinguished Alumni Award. Other accolades include the Pioneer Award from Hilton Hotels and Resorts as well as Director of Sales of the year from Servico Hotels and Resorts.
Laura is a past adjunct faulty member in hospitality industry.
She is married to her husband Michael and has two daughters Makena and Rachel.
